Thursdays-Rip the Runway - DVF

I became a huge fan of Diane Von Furstenburg-DVF from watching Whitney Port (who now happens to have her own line) from "The Hills" and "The City" intern for her.  DVF's fashions are just to die for, and I often find myself browsing the web just to see what's the latest that she has come up with.  There's no surprise that prints are a trademark of hers an in this Fall 2012 collections, she gives us work-ready attire-suits, blouses and shifts in the mix.  The fabric is just so freaking cute.  Take a look at just some of my favorites.

October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hi Fashionista's,

I wanted to take a quick post and just mention to you guys about the importance of getting mammograms.  While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the necessary steps to have a plan to detect the disease in it early stages (early detection is the best protection.  Although I don't know anymore personally who have endured this particular disease, I do know others who have had some form of Cancer.  So I encourage you all to get a mammogram and while your doing that I challenge you to GO PINK FOR OCTOBER...Rock your pink ribbon or simply rock the color pink.

Fashion Fall Favs

I am so excited that Fall is arriving.  It's the perfect weather to me, I can wear jeans, scarfs, sweaters, blazers, heels, boots and flats.  You name it, you can wear it.  I have fallen in love with layering my clothes founding the outfit that can work for a single look or work in multiple ways by justing adding that extra piece of fabric.  I have been focusing on purchasing cardigans, sweaters, botton down tops and different scarfs to create different looks to add into my ever growing closet.  But, hey you can never go wrong with having too many clothes, especially if you have the perfect ensemble pieces.  Below I've listed some of my favorite fall looks, check them out.

What are some of your Fashion Fall Favs?

Welcome Back...Welcome Back...Wel-come Back

I am soooo excited to be back on the blogging world.  oh how I've  missed it.  I was down and out for way to long, but everything has fallen onto place the way its suppose to.  I know I have missed a lot of things, events and postings while I was away, so I have a lot of catching up to do.

My first event back to the blogging world was the Bloggers Like Me Me-etup, created by the fabulous Fashion Du Jour she has created something great here, BLM allows bloggers from all over to network with each other, and of course we all love to do that.  I literally signed up for BLM two (2) days before the meetup and was welcomed with open arms.  I attended the first BLM meetup for the DMV last Thursday and was lucky enough to meet some fabulous bloggers (some I knew, some I didn't).  All in all it was great to be welcomed back with a   Here's a recap of of the event with some photos that I did manage to take from my iPhone.

Its My Blog-i-versary

Happy Birthday to Me

One year ago today I started my blog, not knowing exactly what I would do with it or where it would go.  I must say that I have enjoyed blogging (what little that I have blogged) and the meeting of all my other fellow bloggers.  I appreciate the followers that I have gained thus far and the journey that lies ahead for me.  I have vowed to give better dedication to my blog and to continue to enjoy what new challenges that will arise.  It only gets better.

Walking In New Shoes

Hey Fashionista's

I been gone for a minute, now I'm back.  I don't want to say that I'm 100% back because honestly I don't know.  To be honest, this rut has gotten the best of me and I have just been lazy with everything surrounding me, which is so unlike me.  I will start my outfit post again really soon and especially because the weather here in DC has been outstanding.  I love this type of weather & I am hoping that its hear to stay.  Well although I haven't been doing any outfit post I have been doing a lot of shopping and rightfully so I will soon be showing my new babies off with many outfit post to come.  See I'm already climbing my way up out of my rut...lol.  Any-hoo I wanted to show you ladies my many shoes I've purchased over the last couple of months.  I can't wait to rock them which is mainly why I need this weather to stay.  Well let me get the photos, let me know your thoughts.  Ugh, my camera does no justice to the color of my shoes.

Style Blocked

Fashionista's,

I need your help, I found the cutest pink and white thrifted sweater but can't seem to think about what to style it with.  I thought about pairing it with some light, light blue denim jeans, but then what shoes to wear it with.  I am so back and forth with it.  The pic of the sweater is below, please give me some insight on what you think would work best with it and maybe I can have some fun with it and create the look you ladies come up with.

Jean Queen

Fashionista's,

Happy Friday Ladies and cheers to the freaking weekend.  I must say that I have been in a good mood over the last few days,  but things are definitely starting to look up for me.  Today's outfit I decided to wear all jean material, this is definitely the trend thats in.  I am wearing my favorite pair of jeans, there my favorite because they are just so comfortable and plus I got them from Walmart.  Walmart definitely have some cute inexpensive jeans.  I love when I can shop on a budget and still look fashionable.  So below you will find my pics.  Hope you all have a great weekend.

Birthday Celebration

Hi Fashionista's,

I had a busy weekend.  My sister celebrated her 35th birthday with fam and friends and I must say we had a fab time.  I took lots of pictures but most of them were taken to go in my scrapbook.  We celebrated her b-day Friday night at club Parva in Bethesda, and on Saturday (her actual born day) we had a family dinner at G&M restaurant in Maryland.  They have the absolute best crab cakes. I encourage all my DMV folks to try them out.  I did get a few pics of my outfit so I'll post them below.  Valentines day is coming up soon, what are some of your plans?
